Hearing on Khaleda petition deferred

The High Court (HC) today deferred hearing on a writ petition filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia over her Dhaka Cantonment house until 2:00pm tomorrow. The hearing on the writ petition was due to be held this morning at the HC bench of Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed and Justice Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury.

But the court deferred the hearing after Khaleda’s lawyer Advocate TH Khan prayed to it for time to file a supplementary petition against the government’s third notice issued on Sunday asking her to vacate the cantonment residence by June 30.
