Foundation stone of new JU hall laid

JU Correspondent — SAVAR, June 21: The foundation stone of Shahid Rafique-Jabbar Hall, a new dormitory for boys of the Jahangirnagar University, was laid Sunday. This will be the 12th hall of the university.
Education, Social Development And Political Adviser to Prime Minister Alauddin Ahmed laid the foundation as chief guest while JU VC Sharif Anamul Kabir, Pro-VCs Muniruzzaman and Farhad Hossain and Treasurer Nasiruddin were present as special guests.
There are six halls for the boys excluding the latest one. The new hall will accommodate 576 students and construction cost of the hall is Tk 110 million (approximately).
