Govt appeals for further probe into August 21 grenade attacks

The prosecution today appealed to a Dhaka court for further investigation into the August 21 grenade attacks on an Awami League rally in 2004.
Judge Masdar Hossain of the Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 fixed July 1 for full hearing on the application.
A total 61 witness have given their depositions in two cases filed following the grenade attacks.
A day after the grenade attack the police filed two cases–one for murder and another under the Explosive Substances Act–with Motijheel Police Station.
