Dhaka University Day today

FE Report — Dhaka University (DU) will observe ‘Dhaka University Day’ today (Wednesday) amid much enthusiasm and festivity.The theme of this year event is ‘Higher Education for Democratisation’. DU authorities have chalked out an elaborate programme to mark the day.
The day will start with procession from every residential hall of the university at 9:15am. DU and all its halls will simultaneously hoist national flag at 9.30am, which will be followed by a rally at 10:45am and discussion programme at 11:30am, said a DU press release Tuesday.
DU Vice Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique is expected to attend the discussion as the chief guest. Pro-VC Harunur Rashid and Treasurer Mizanur Rahman will, among others, attend the event.
The day-long programme will also feature debate competition at 2.30pm at TSC auditorium, to be followed by science-based programme at 3.00pm, friendly football matches at 4.30pm and cricket matches at 5:00pm and a cultural show in the evening.
