Geeteara secures bail

At least ten people, including five police, were injured when the members of a rights organisation clashed with law enforcers in front of Indian High Commission in Gulshan, protesting the construction of Tipaimukh Dam this morning.

 

The clash took place around 11:30 am when police barred the members of the organisation named ‘Lamp Post’ in entering the Indian High Commission, Gulshan police sub-inspector Mohammad Rafique told The Daily Star.

 

Ten people were injured when police charged batons to disperse them, he added.

 

Police also arrested two protesters from the spot.
