PM for controlling population growth

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today urged the countrymen to keep the population growth rate under one percent aiming to make the country inhabitable.
Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque said this citing the premier at a programme at Osmani Memorial Hall in the city. The health minister read a written statement of Hasina on the occasion.
Hasina thinks the increasing population growth in the country has further aggravated the impact of global economic recession, Ruhal added, private television channel ATN Bangla reports.
