Sidr Day observed

The tragic Sidr Day was observed yesterday in different parts of the country, specially the southern region, through various programmes.
The programmes included discussion meeting and placing wreaths at the graveyards of the victims and Sidr memorials. Our Barguna Correspondent reports: local NGOs and Administration observed the day with due respect.
People from different walks of life led by the Deputy Commissioner placed wreath at the Sidr memorial at Garjonbunia. Later a mourning rally was brought out from the local Press Club.
At Amtoli, Nazrul Smrity Sangsad organised a video documentary exhibition and discussion meeting at the Press Club.
