BNP for new trend of politics: Mirza Fakhrul

December 23, 2009

BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday said his party initiated new trend in politics rejecting ‘garbage oriented politics’.

“Following the new trend, the party has started its journey,” Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was addressing a press conference at National Press Club in the capital.

The conference was organised protesting Tuesday’s attack on Dr Moyeen Khan, BNP Standing Committee member, at Polash in Narsingdi on Tuesday.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir demanded punishment against those responsible for attacking different BNP leaders and activists and journalists.

He also demanded removal of Awami League agents from the administration as they are tarnishing the image of the government.

The government should remove those who are loyal to political parties from the administration.

Replying to a question about the attack incidents during BNP regimes, he said, “we cannot step forward if we recall the previous incidents”.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam also claimed that BNP is not expert in terrorist activities at all.
