Copy of Bangabandhu case verdict released

The Supreme Court judgment on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman assassination case was released on Thursday as five judges of the Appellate Division have signed the copy of the verdict.
The death row convicts in the murder case now will get the copy of the SC judgment.
The condemned killers will get 30 days to file review petitions upon receiving the copy.
On November 19, the SC bench headed by Justice Md Tafazzul Islam dismissed the appeal petitions of five convicts against the third judgment of the High Court that handed them and seven others death penalty.
These five– Syed Farooq Rahman, Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan, Bazlul Huda, AKM Mohiuddin Ahmed and Muhiuddin Ahmed– who are now languishing in jail, had filed the petitions in October 2007 giving five different points to challenge the High Court verdict.
