Mutiny charges framed against 60 in Satkhira

The BDR special court-1 on Monday framed charges against 60 suspected mutineers of 7 Rifle Battalion at 41 Rifle battalion headquarters in Satkhira.
BDR Director General Maj Gen M Mainul Islam headed the three-member court. Two other members of the court are Lt Col Gazi Khalid Hossain and Maj Lutful Karim, reports our Satkhira correspondent.
The trial of the BDR accused is being held under Bangladesh Rifles order, 1972.
The trial of BDR mutiny at 7 Rifle Battalion in Nildumur of Shyamnagar upazila, Satkhira, began on December 7, and the court adjourned after the second day’s proceedings on December 8 giving the accused 27 days to seek their counsels either from BDR or lawyers for self-defence.
