BCL suspends activities at Kushtia college

Bangladesh Chhatra League has suspended its activities at Kushtia Government College for an indefinite period and expelled four of its activists over the recent mess at the college.
On Tuesday, the process of first year honours admission resumed at the college with the college authorities asking students on the merit list to take viva examination.
In a statement, BCL Kushtia district unit president Majharul Islam Sumon requested the law enforcement agencies to take action against those who were involved in beating journalists on the college campus on Sunday.
The expelled BCL men are Liton, Dano, Lenin and Kusum, students of Kushtia Government College.
Meanwhile, the judicial magistrate court of Kushtia sent six BCL activists to jail on charge of assaulting two journalists on the campus.
The BCL men are Abu Taiyeb Badsha, president of Kushtia Sadar unit, Babu, Sohag, Imon, Tutul and Koyel.
