Bangladeshi companies and organizations have several problems to start full swing e-business. These include limited resources, backwardness in technology, managerial inefficiency, socio-infrastructural problem such as corruption, default culture, law and order situation, rampant corruption, strike etc. Good governance and investment friendly environment are required in Bangladesh. Network is a mode of communications with the computers. Networks of computers can be classified in following ways: Local area network, Metropolitan area network, and World Wide area network. Multiple computers connected through telephone lines, cable systems, and in wireless technology are also required.
Russian deal disrupts Ukraine parliament

Fighting broke out and smoke bombs were thrown as Ukraine’s parliament erupted into chaos as it ratified a bitterly controversial deal with Russia extending the lease of a key naval base yesterday.
The scuffles broke out after eggs were thrown at the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Volodymr Lytvyn, who then took cover behind two black umbrellas held by aides.
Auto battery market heats up

Increasing demand for IPS (instant power supply) systems to temporarily meet the power crisis at homes hikes prices of automotive batteries.
Customers have to pay an additional Tk 500 to Tk 2,000 for an automotive battery unit, said traders. According to market data, automotive battery prices range between Tk 5,750 and Tk 12,750 a unit.
A day for sons-in-law: Two-day ‘Jamai Mela’ in Tangail

As per the long tradition, the people of Rasulpur village in Tangail Sadar upazila hold the fair on the 11th day of the Bangla month Baishakh 11. The fair is held at Bashirunnesa Govt. Primary School premises every year.

Hundreds of farmers blocked roads in Dinajpur and Rangpur yesterday demanding compensation as thousands of bags of potatoes they kept in cold storage have rotten due to alleged negligence of the authorities.
Our Dinajpur correspondent reported that potato growers blocked Dinajpur-Dhaka highway at around 5:45pm demanding compensation for damage of their potatoes at Uttara Himghar Limited, a cold storage, at Gopalganj village under Dinajpur Sadar upazila, and also protesting attack on them allegedly by the hired goons of the cold storage authorities on Monday.

FM calls for demand-driven regional projects

Foreign Minister Dipu Moni yesterday stressed the need for demand-driven and timebound regional and sub-regional projects for implementation.
She also called for rationalisation of SAFTA sensitive lists and dismantling of non-tariff and para-tariff trade barriers and a balanced focus on mitigation as well as adaptation as the region meets the challenges of climate change.
Nizami, Mojaheed arrest plea rejected

A Dhaka court on Wednesday rejected a petition for issuance of arrest warrants against five Jamaat-e-Islami leaders including its chief Matiur Rahman Nizami in a case filed against them for hurting religious sentiment of Muslims.
The court also asked the five defendants to appear before it on June 29 in this case.

Court asks to haul 256 Pilkhana mutineers before it Thursday

The mutiny trial against 256 mutineers of hospital unit of Bangladesh Rifles Pilkhana Headquarters began on Wednesday, minutes after a case was filed before the Special Court-6 set up for trying the BDR mutiny case.
The three-member court headed by BDR Director General Md Mainul Islam took the case into cognisance and asked the authorities concerned to produce all the mutineers before it at its next sitting.
