Students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) are likely to face a three-month session jam due to ongoing work abstention by teachers, upcoming winter and Eid vacations, and national elections. The students of the university have already started leaving their residential halls, as there is no hope of resumption of classes before Eid-ul-Azha vacation from Dec 3.

UN urges China to spend more on health, education

China can afford it, given its 1.9 trillion dollars in foreign exchange reserves and budget revenues equivalent to more than 20 per cent of its gross domestic product, said Khalid Malik, the UN’s top official in China.
