Bangladesh is among the highly risked poor but developing countries in the world that has been paying under duress heavily for climate change caused by the developed rich countries. Within a decade from 1991 to 2000, more than 2 lakh people died, agriculture and infra structure suffered a loss of taka 41,300 crore in 93 natural calamities. Drought has damaged 21.8 lakh tonnes crop and flood destroyed 23.8 lakh tonnes crops between 1973 and 1987.
